Wernersville, PA – February 6, 2018 – Caron Treatment Centers, a leading and nationally recognized not-for-profit provider of addiction treatment, is pleased to announce the appointment of William P. Parfitt, CPA, as its new Chief Financial Officer.
“I’m thrilled to have Bill as part of the leadership team at Caron,” said Doug Tieman, Caron’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “Bill brings extensive finance and healthcare experience that will support Caron’s strategic development of unparalleled innovation, leading medical and technological tools, proven patient outcomes and expansion in key regions.”
Most recently, he served as Chief Executive Officer for COMHAR, Inc., a multi-site behavioral health and intellectual disabilities services provider that employed more than 800 staff and served over 12,000 individuals annually. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University and is also a Certified Public Accountant.
“Recent headlines tell the story of too many healthcare facilities focusing on their bottom-line instead of the lives of the individuals in treatment. What drew me to Caron is that patients always come first,” said Mr. Parfitt. “I am excited to work with the Executive Leadership Team to ensure that Caron is at its strongest, so that we can continue our not-for-profit mission of transforming families."
Mr. Parfitt joins Caron at a critical time in the organization’s 60-year history with the not-for-profit spearheading initiatives in education, prevention and research. Caron has also taken on more medically complex patients due to the surge in more compromised older adults and the opioid crisis.
