Wernersville, PA – February 5, 2018 – Caron Treatment Centers, a leading and nationally recognized not-for-profit provider of addiction and behavioral healthcare treatment, is pleased to announce the appointment of Sara Counes, CAP, ICADC, to Vice President of Admissions and Business Development. She previously worked as Caron’s National Business Director. Caron also appointed Kelli Grant, MS, CRC, as Corporate Director of Business Development & Case Management. Kelli was previously Director of Case Management at Caron.
“We’re thrilled to have Sara and Kelli at the helm of our Admissions and Business Development teams,” said Lisa Marsilio, Chief Operating Officer at Caron. “Their extensive expertise will enhance our approach to meeting patients’ individualized and unique needs within our clinically driven model.”
Throughout her extensive career, Counes has worked in various leadership roles which included overseeing the Admissions, Finance and Alumni teams at the Hanley Center. She has also presented nationally on several topics, such as family systems and family interventions, best practices in customer service, admissions and ethical practices. She was honored with the YWCA’s Grace Dodge Woman of the Year Award for her work helping women in recovery from addiction.
“Every family has the right to a personalized experience and expert guidance from the first moment they reach out for help,” said Counes. “When families contact us, they are often in a state of crisis and looking for expertise and compassion. These families need an advocate from the very beginning of their journey. My goal is to make sure families have access to the best possible care for their unique needs.”
Counes also emphasized that it’s critical for families to understand that addiction is a chronic disease and that acute treatment is not recovery. Caron’s focus is on giving individuals and their families the tools to transform to a lifetime of wellness.
“We’re not just helping families recover,” said Counes. “We’re giving them the opportunity to rebuild relationships and achieve a high quality of life.”
Grant’s promotion follows her significant contributions to the evolution of business development and clinical case management at Caron. For the past seven years, Grant oversaw business development and marketing efforts in Caron’s southeast region – which included providing concierge and case management services to patients and their families.
“My vision is to deliver a premier experience for patients and their families from their first phone call through discharge and beyond,” said Grant. “I am honored to assist families and referents in accessing Caron's world-class clinical care.”
Over the past 13 years, Grant worked in multiple levels of care, including both outpatient and residential programs, for several well-respected providers. She works extensively with individuals with co-occurring behavioral health and substance use disorders. Since joining Caron in 2012, she has also designed comprehensive continuums of care that meet the clinical needs of patients, families and professionals.
"We recognize that when professionals recommend Caron, they put their own reputations on the line,” said Grant. “We value their trust in us and are committed to helping families find the best possible treatment options.”
