Caron Treatment Centers, with the generous support of the Cape Cod Substance Abuse Prevention Fund of the Cape Cod Foundation will offer the Toolbox Training for middle school and high school educators and youth-serving agency staff in Barnstable County. Our goal is to provide up-to-date information that will assist participants in their work with children and families.
Who Should Attend? Health/PE teachers, school counselors, psychologists, prevention specialists, peer advisors or any school staff concerned about the health and well-being of students.
Why Attend? This interactive and engaging professional training is designed to build skills on the following topics:
- Behavioral health concerns that cause a barrier to learning, including mental health and substance use issues
- Approaches to boost resiliency factors in children and adolescents
- Strategies for working compassionately with families
There is no cost to attend, but registration is required. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Space is limited to 40 participants. Register by January 31, 2018
