The 2018 Fall Spiritual Retreat is excited to welcome Fred Holmquist as guest speaker. A treasured wisdom-keeper for the AA movement and its core literature, Fred will join with Rev. Jack Abel and other members of the Caron Spiritual Care, Wellness, and Clinical Teams, as well as the YMCA Camp staff, to again provide a weekend full of opportunities that explore how wisdom is acquired in the journey of “recovery” - whether that involves substances, behaviors, relationships, or other challenges in the journey of life. You’ll enjoy reflecting on what wisdom is, how it differs from knowledge, and how the recovery programs, historic faith traditions, the philosophy and theories of science, and somatic, embodied practice each can function in community as sources of wisdom to guide us in daily living.
