Ramona Roberts Psy.D. is a Staff Psychologist. Dr. Roberts earned her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. She completed an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at Caron Treatment Centers and returned to complete a post-doctoral fellowship. Her approach to psychotherapy is informed by a Cognitive Behavioral and Mindfulness approach, with a Motivational Interviewing style. She has also used Gestalt, Reality, Narrative, and Person-Centered therapies. Dr. Roberts is trained in Motivational Interviewing by MINT trainers and has developed and facilitated two day trainings at a variety of agencies and universities. She has experience working with juvenile sex offenders, chronic pain patients, and teens with mental health issues; however, the majority of her clinical experience has been with co-occurring disorders and addiction. She is a certified trainer of teen co-occurring disorders through the Department of Health and Department of Public Welfare of Pennsylvania. She has experience with cognitive and personality testing (projective and objective). Dr. Roberts has presented research at Regional, National, and International conferences and has publications in professional, peer reviewed journals. She has conducted diversity trainings and lectures on diversity. She is well versed in curriculum and program development and assessment. She has won several awards including Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching.
