Dr. Nancy Bailey is a therapist with Caron’s Breakthrough program. She has over 25 years of experience working with adult clients affected by substance use disorder and trauma-related issues. Her extensive experience includes conducting customized intensive workshops, group and individual counseling sessions, long-term client and family case management, clinical and administrative management, and behavioral health care industry training and development.
Nationally known in the behavioral health treatment industry, Nancy is passionate about creating an environment where individuals, families, and groups can heal and grow in a safe and supported space. She works from a positive and collaborative stance that is inclusive and solution oriented. She has worked with executives, high profile, government, and entertainment industry clients where discretion and confidentiality are paramount.
Among the treatment modalities she uses are post-induction therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, mindfulness-based stress reduction, equine therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and trauma-informed experiential methods. She has trained extensively with Pia Mellody using the post-induction therapy model.
Prior to working at Caron, Nancy worked at other treatment centers and currently owns a private consulting service. She is also an adjunct professor in graduate university studies for Purdue University and serves as a content specialist on doctoral dissertation committees at Grand Canyon University. She has presented at psychodrama conferences and other national venues. She has served on the Pennsylvania International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium test advisory committee. She is a graduate of Eastern University and a magna cum laude graduate of Capella University.
