As Vice President of Regional Recovery Care Support, Mylene Krzanowski focuses on strengthening the Recovery for Life initiatives and alumni support in Caron’s Regional Recovery Centers – New York, Philadelphia, Washington, DC, Atlanta and New England.
Mylene began her career as a clinician, with much of her work focusing on the development and implementation of prevention, intervention and support services for adolescents and their families. She joined Caron in 1997 and expanded Caron’s outreach to schools from 10 local schools to over 600 schools on the east coast. Her areas of expertise include current trends in adolescent substance abuse, best practices in prevention, intervention strategies, adolescent tobacco cessation, and empowering parents to talk with their children about sensitive and high risk issues. She regularly contributes articles on these issues to industry journals.
Mylene earned a BA in Psychology from King’s College and currently serves as an advisory board member for the Moyer Foundation and The Bridgeway School. Mylene was on the board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Association of Student Assistance Programs (PASAP) for eight years, serving in numerous positions, including President and Vice President of the board. She also served on the board of directors of the National Student Assistance Association and its executive committee.
