Margaret King, Psy.D. is a Staff Psychologist and working with Teen Males. She is a licensed psychologist in Pennsylvania and Delaware and earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Chestnut Hill College with a concentration in psychological assessment. Prior to joining Caron’s team, Dr. King completed her Post-Doctoral Fellowship and then worked as a staff psychologist in the Delaware state prisons. Her primary responsibilities in this role were individual psychotherapy, crisis management/intervention, and psychological evaluations for individuals suffering from severe and persistent mental illness, personality disorder, complex trauma, and co-occurring disorders. Additionally, she has experience and training in treating mental health concerns of transgender individuals and was an active member of a Gender Dysphoria Consultation Group while working in the prison system. Dr. King also completed an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at Philhaven where she worked at the inpatient, intensive outpatient, triage, and outpatient levels of care. She conducted individual, couples, and family therapy with children through older adult populations who presented with a broad range of mental and behavioral health concerns. A large component of her training experience at Philhaven specialized on the integration of spirituality and psychological health/illness.

Her primary theoretical orientation is psychodynamic with an integrative approach, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy techniques. Dr. King has a strong interest in psychological testing and has experience with a wide range of instruments including personality, behavioral, ability, and neuropsychological measures. She enjoys working within a multidisciplinary team to provide the best possible treatment, promote wholeness and wellness, and to offer individualized recommendation for aftercare. She received her B.S. in Psychology and B.S. in Mathematics from Saint Peter’s College and her M.S. in Clinical Psychology from Chestnut Hill College.
