Lydia Moore Allen is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Family Therapist at Caron Renaissance. In her role , she is responsible for coordinating care for family members and including them in all aspects of the treatment process. She contributes to the multidisciplinary treatment team including identifying and implementing interventions as determined to be clinically necessary for the patient and/or family. Another key role of her position is facilitating the weekly parenting group.
Her previous work experience includes almost eight years of service at a Residential Treatment Center for Adolescent males. She has worked in the capacity of a Behavioral Health Overlay Services Therapist, Lead Therapist and Assistant Clinical Director. Her years of experience also include ongoing training with Co-occurring Disorders, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Aggression Replacement Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. With the goal of expanding her knowledge base in addiction, she completed necessary training to become a Certified Addiction Professional. Over the years she has worked with many families and agencies within the community to assist clients with re-integration and recovery.
She is a graduate of Barry University with a Master’s Degree in Social Work and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Florida Memorial University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice.
