As Chief Operating Officer, Lisa Marsilio focuses on ensuring increased access to Caron’s high quality treatment throughout its extensive continuum of care. Ms. Marsilio oversees all of Caron’s administrative, operational and regional recovery strategies while also spearheading the development, communication, and implementation of effective growth strategies in conjunction with a collaborative Executive Leadership Team.
Prior to joining Caron, Ms. Marsilio was divisional CEO/Executive Director for a post-acute care network that was created to serve The University of Pennsylvania Health System, one of the world’s leading academic medical centers. In this role, she led over 750 employees, two post-acute hospitals, 14 outpatient locations as well as all therapy operations for UPHS hospitals and skilled nursing facilities.
From 2008-2012,Ms. Marsilio served as the Vice President of The Cardiopulmonary Complex Medical service line and Administrator of the Good Shepherd Specialty Hospital in Bethlehem Pennsylvania. Under her leadership, volume grew year over year as services were enhanced to support the needs of Lehigh Valley Hospital & Health Network and fellow hospital systems. Ms. Marsilio has also held positions at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network as the Director of Special Projects, Administrator of Rehabilitation Hospital and Director of Physician and Community Education.
Ms. Marsilio earned Bachelors in Business Administration from Muhlenberg College and holds a Masters in Business Administration from DeSales University. She served on the Advisory Board for The Wescoe School of Muhlenberg College as well as Adjunct faculty member teaching Healthcare Compliance and The Healthcare Delivery System. Lisa was recently appointed to The American Hospital Association as a Healthcare Council member serving a three-year term for the Division of Rehabilitation and Post-Acute Care Services as well as appointed to the Women Business Leaders of the U.S. Health Care Industry Foundation.
