Kris Bashore oversees Caron’s human resources, training, marketing, public relations, and government affairs activities. She leads the organization’s strategic planning, including most recently, the development and execution of the new strategic plan, focused on providing greater access to Caron to more patients and families. Over the last year, she has been actively engaged in helping to increase the number of services for patients and families on Caron’s campuses and regionally across Caron’s continuum of services.
She led the recent extensive branding campaign, which has contributed to raising Caron’s awareness and revenue in key markets. She also oversees Caron’s thought leadership initiatives to further increase Caron’s national presence and recognized expertise in behavioral healthcare.
Since joining Caron in 2000, Kris has overseen Caron’s administrative operations, including human resources, training, quality, admissions, and finance. During her tenure as chief human resource officer, she led the expansion of staff from 265 to more than 750 employees with the retention rate rising by more than 40 percent. She also managed the expansion of educational opportunities for Caron employees by making master’s, bachelor’s, and associate degree programs accessible on Caron’s campuses.
Prior to joining Caron, Kris held human resources senior management positions with a pharmaceutical company and a regional financial institution. She holds a senior certified professional human resource certification from The Society of Human Resource Management and a bachelor’s degree from East Stroudsburg University.
