Harris B. Stratyner, PhD, is a licensed doctor of psychology, as well as an internationally
recognized expert on addiction, with a particular specialty in co-occurring disorders. He is
currently the Vice President and New York Regional Clinical Director of Caron Treatment Center
and Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Dr. Stratyner is
best known for his unique approach of “carefrontation” with addicted individuals and patients
with psychiatric diagnoses. Dr. Stratyner co-authored the PDR Guide to Pediatric and
Adolescent Mental Health First Edition. He is a frequent lecturer at major rehabilitation and
psychiatric facilities. Dr. Stratyner hosted his own radio program for over 28 years, and is a frequent guest on national TV programs.
