Alison is a Primary Therapist at Caron Renaissance. Alison began her role on the team in 2015 as a Counselor Assistant, where her duties included providing patient care, crisis management, and clinical support. During this time, Alison took on various roles within the organization, including clinical involvement in co-facilitating Family Workshops, and assumed a clinical role on the Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) team. Today, Alison continues the application of DBT skills and principles into her role as a clinician.
Alison graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice in 2007, and continued her education there to attain a Master of Arts Degree in Criminology in 2008.
In 2018, Alison also volunteered her time to the FBI and the Violent Crimes Against Children Task Force in Philadelphia, in their launch of a national initiative to raise awareness to human trafficking. As a result, Alison was highlighted as a keynote speaker in the Buck’s Coalition Against Trafficking (BCAT) Conference in 2018 to help build awareness among law enforcement, victim and social services, and to promote change for victims and individuals who face barriers in the eyes of mental health and addiction.
