Alex Ribbentrop is a Family Therapist at Caron Renaissance. Alex utilizes backgrounds in philosophy and clinical social work to inform an integrative mode of treatment and therapy. Alex’s background includes work in the areas of mental health, substance abuse, and trauma including the use of EMDR. Additionally, he has worked in a variety of roles, including community based mental health and substance abuse treatment, and roles as a primary therapist at residential and intensive outpatient levels of care.
Alex has a B.A. in Philosophy from George Mason University, where he also completed his Master’s Degree in Social Work and was awarded “Outstanding MSW” by the George Mason University Department of Social Work in two consecutive years. Alex is a member of the Phi Alpha Honor Society and has acted as an advocate for Collegiate Recovery efforts.
