One of the most important aspects of treatment and recovery is what happens once someone moves from treatment back into mainstream society and the community. Research shows that recovering people who are able to live in a healthy, functional environment surrounded by others who are also in recovery significantly enhances their ability to remain clean, sober and very productive members of society.
 
Therefore, Advocates for Recovery embraces the philosophy of “everyone has a place in our community”.
 
Advocates for Recovery wants you to be part of the recovery solution. We want you to support efforts of the recovering community to stay sober and be productive members of society. We encourage everyone to support and enforce the law that requires fair housing and protects recovering people under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
