Adult Family Education Program
Caron's Adult Family Education Program is a psycho educational program where families and loved ones can learn about:
- The disease of addiction and its effects on the family
- The impact of codependency
- The relapse process
- Prevention and recovery
Caron believes that treatment for family members is important; it can make a vital difference in helping the entire family to heal from the devastating disease of addiction. This program is a powerful tool used to enhance the recovery process for the whole family. The program will help families identify, on a personal level, the impact of the "family illness," as well as the steps toward restoring and/or developing healthy communication within the family system.
*The Adult Family Education Program runs weekly from Saturday-Wednesday, except for the week of Christmas.
Adult Family Education Schedule
Saturday: program runs from *8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Sunday:
Chapel Service 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Family Education Program 10:45 a.m. - 3:25 p.m.
Monday: program runs from *8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Tuesday: program runs from *8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Wednesday: program runs from *8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
*Registration from 8:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
Your loved one will not participate with you in the Saturday and Sunday portions of the program, but will be with you all day, each day, Monday through Wednesday. Although it is possible for you to attend just the Saturday and Sunday portions of the program, our expectation is that you will commit to attend all five days for your family to fully benefit from this process. One may not attend the Monday through Wednesday portions of the program without first attending the Saturday/Sunday portions of the program.
Fee ScheduleThere is no additional charge for the first two participants in the Adult Family Education Program. The following charges apply for anyone intending to participate in addition to the first two family members:
Adults (16 yrs. and older) - $600-full program attendance
Adults (16 yrs. and older) - $300-Saturday/Sunday only
Children (12-15 yrs. old) - $250-children under the age of 16 may only participate in the Saturday/Sunday portion of the program
To make arrangements to register for the Adult Family Education Program, please contact: 800-678-2332, ext. 6124. Registration is required. Early registration is recommended due to space limitations. It is imperative that family members register as soon as possible. Preferably, registration should be done within the first week of the patients admission. Questions regarding the patients treatment should be directed to a member of the Therapy Team.
