Extended Care Treatment

Caron's Women's Extended Care Program provides an environment to promote the growth and development of recovery. The program supports, solidifies and extends the recovery work done in prior treatment settings. Extended care facilitates a gradual reintegration into the family, social, cultural, educational and employment systems that form the context of women's individual healing and growth.

Extended care helps women develop a self-motivation for recovery, understand the disease of addiction and establish a strong support system for ongoing recovery.

The services provided include:

• A personalized treatment plan
• Life skills training
• Five therapy groups per week
• Daily lectures and didactic groups
• Weekly individual meetings
• Individualized continuing care plans
• Regular family involvement
• Relapse prevention
• Gender specific treatment
• 12-Step involvement
