Psychological Services

Caron offers patients comprehensive psychological services during their treatment stay. To aid in individual treatment planning, a psychological assessment is conducted at the beginning of treatment. This allows Caron's treatment staff to understand the psychological factors that might impact a man's chemical dependency treatment. In addition to psychological testing and evaluation, individual psychotherapy or psychological interventions are provided when appropriate. Psychologists and other treatment staff also offer gender-specific psychotherapy groups focusing on coping skills and psychological aspects of addiction. Psychiatric evaluations are also available for men requiring medication management. Psychological services are provided in the context of a multi-disciplinary treatment team approach focusing on recovery from drug and alcohol dependency.
