Recreational Services

Learning how to have fun without chemicals is an important step for many adolescents. Often the competition associated with sports has not been a positive one. Our approach to recreational activities incorporates these issues into a recreational program that's fun, and also provides a time for patients to learn a new skill, brush up on an old one or simply remain in shape to return to competition in the future. Caron also utilizes outside facilities in the community for rock climbing and swimming. All recreation activities are under the direct supervision of trained and certified recreation therapists who also have knowledge of issues linked to substance abuse and dependency.
