Janice D. Styer

Janice D. Styer, MSW, CAC Diplomate, CCDP Diplomate,
Clinical Coordinator of Caron Adolescent Treament & Addictions Counselor

Ms. Styer is the Clinical Coordinator for Caron’s Adolescent Treatment Center. She provides counseling to adolescents and their families and also trains and supervises the clinical staff. Ms. Styer helped develop gender-specific programming at the center with a focus on co-occurring issues such as anxiety, depression, eating disorders, self-injurious behavior and anger management.

Ms. Styer has more than 27 years of experience with women’s issues and more than 14 years of experience with adolescent development, addiction and the impact of the disease on the family. She is a frequent resource for media and other public avenues.

Ms. Styer has a Masters Degree in Social Work from Marywood University in Pennsylvania and is a board-certified addiction’s counselor. She is also board-certified to work with patients suffering from co-occurring disorders.

Michelle L. Maloney

Michelle L. Maloney, MS, LPC, CAC Diplomate
Executive Director of the Caron Continuum

Ms. Maloney is responsible for overseeing the clinical, programming, training and daily management of the adult and young adult centers at Caron. She also continues to participate in both individual and family therapy. Her addiction expertise includes a range of areas such as women’s issues, young adults and the elderly. She speaks frequently about relationships and recovery and eating disorders.

Ms. Maloney has been with Caron Treatment Centers for more than 12 years providing training and coaching to clinical and supervisory staff at Caron. She also takes an active role in education regarding issues of addiction and serves as a public spokesperson to community and organizational groups.

Ms. Maloney holds a Masters in counseling psychology from Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia. She is also a licensed professional counselor.
