Chief Marketing Officer/EVP
A member of Caron’s leadership team, Ms. Orlando directs all strategic planning, communications and marketing operations at Caron, including those at Caron’s satellite offices and Caron Renaissance in Palm Beach. She oversees the development of all marketing brochures and materials, public relations activities, business development activities and Caron’s website. She also oversees Caron’s Student Assistance Program.
During her five-year tenure at Caron, Ms. Orlando spearheaded the development of Caron’s website – including “Caron 360,” an interactive platform that allows alumni an opportunity to stay connected in “real time” to recovery from Caron. She established a public relations department and led efforts on a groundbreaking study that generated interest from national media, educators, parents and health care professionals. She also has made critical contributions to Caron’s alumni communications, internal communications and business development strategy.
Ms. Orlando was the inaugural chairman of Caron’s Marketing Committee and also previously served on the Caron Executive Board. She has an extensive twenty-year background in marketing and public relations.
Her marketing experience began at Sovereign Bancorp, Inc. and continued for 16 years, last holding the positions of Executive to the President, Chief Marketing Officer and Corporate Spokesperson. She founded The MLO Group, Inc. (Reading, Pa.), a marketing company specializing in marketing and strategic planning, project management and event coordination, which she eventually sold.
She was a 2002 Eastern Pennsylvania Business Journal “Top 20 Under 40” Award recipient, a Berks County Chamber of Commerce ATHENA recipient and a “FORTY UNDER 40” award recipient. She also received the “Top 25 Women of Distinction Award” from the Greater Philadelphia Region, and was recognized as one of the “Top 10 People to Watch in Berks County” by the Reading Eagle.
Ms. Orlando holds a Bachelor’s Degree in marketing from Pennsylvania State University, a Master’s in marketing/finance from LaSalle University in Philadelphia and is currently a doctoral candidate for leadership at Alvernia University.
