James McManus
Regional Vice President of Philadelphia
Mr. McManus currently serves as a Regional Vice President of Caron Treatment Centers. He is responsible for marketing Caron's programs and services to medical professionals and corporate employee assistance specialists as well as overseeing regional fundraising initiatives Philadelphia region.
During his tenure at Caron, Mr. McManus has helped raise nearly $2 million in addiction treatment scholarships from the Philadelphia region. He also contributed to the expansion of support services in the area for parents of Caron adolescent and young adult alumni.
Prior to joining Caron in 2002, he was a marketing and business development executive with the corporate lending department of Sovereign Bank in Philadelphia. Before his two-year association with Sovereign, he was the Senior Vice President of Programs and Membership at the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce from 1989 through 1999.
He joined the Chamber following a 16-year career at the Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC), the city's economic development agency.
Mr. McManus is currently on the board of PIDC and is chairman of its Audit Committee in addition to being a member of its Loan Committee. He also serves as the chairman of the Philadelphia Authority for Industrial Development, an affiliated agency.
He is a member of the Council of President's Associates at his alma mater, La Salle University, and is the immediate past president of The Explorer Club, the athletic booster organization for the school. He received an MBA degree from Drexel University.
He resides in Philadelphia with his wife Peggy. They have three adult children and four grandchildren.
