November 5-7, 2010 - Caron Campus - Wernersville, PA

HIV/Hep C Retreat Weekend

By the late 1980s it had become apparent that HIV and AIDS were profoundly affecting society. The field of chemical dependency treatment was also feeling the effects of the steady progression of these diseases.

Caron Treatment Centers has recognized the need to provide a safe, supportive place for recovering people who are infected and/or affected by HIV. Over the years and many retreats later, the core of faithful participants has grown and together we have formed a very special extended, accepting family. A few times a year, these individuals return to Caron to share feelings, laughter, the struggles of life, mourn losses and, unconditionally, welcome newcomers.

Caron also recognized that many people who were attending the HIV retreats were dually infected with Hepatitis C. Since then, the retreats are also for those infected and/or affected by one or both diseases.

* These retreats run from a Friday afternoon through Sunday morning, ending with Caron's Chapel Service on Caron's main campus in Wernersville, PA. All retreats will be held at Caron's Breakthrough Building on the main campus in Wernersville, PA.
