Joseph K. Lauginiger, CFRE - Executive Vice President/Chief Development Officer
Joe oversees development and alumni relations at Caron. He has spent more than 20 years at Caron and more than 30 years in the nonprofit sector. A member of Caron's executive team, Joe's leadership has helped to generate over $30 million in charity care and capital projects at Caron.
Throughout his fundraising career, Joe has conducted numerous successful capital campaigns, annual fund campaigns and special events.
He is a Certified Fund Raising Executive and a founding member of the Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter of AFP. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Bloomsburg State College and an MBA from Alvernia College.

Susan K. Borelli - Vice President of Development
Susan stays in touch with Caron's alumni on a national basis visiting with them and families across the country. She is a resource for alumni and chapter groups who are interested in fundraising for Caron. She is currently overseeing the national segment of Caron's 50th Anniversary Campaign: A Special Place...A Special Time. Susan also coordinates support for Caron's endowed scholarship programs, charitable gift annuities, trusts and other planned gifts.
Susan holds a bachelor's degree from Albright College and an MBA from Lebanon Valley College.

Sue Hendrickson - Director of Annual Giving and Development Operations
Sue joined the Caron staff in 1987 and has served in various capacities. Since 2002, she has headed up the Annual Fund Program at Caron. She works with alumni and families by introducing them to various giving opportunities, such as patient scholarships, research and the Chapel Fund. She also works with current donors who wish to continue their ongoing support.
Sue holds a bachelor's degree from Millersville University and an MBA from Alvernia College.

Janet Kelleher, CFRE - Regional Development Officer
Janet is the regional development representative for New Jersey, Delaware, Massachusetts, and part of Philadelphia, where she meets with alumni and families, and arranges receptions and fundraising events. Working closely with Caron's Alumni Office, she establishes fellowship and chapter groups in her assigned areas, keeping alumni and their families connected and involved with Caron. Janet works to establish leadership councils who provide advocacy, fundraising and alumni support to Caron.
Janet holds a bachelor's degree from Rutgers School of Business.

Sarah McNitt - Vice President
Sarah, based out of Caron's New York office in Manhattan, coordinates Caron's fundraising efforts in the Greater New York Metropolitan Area. She works closely with Caron's New York Advisory Board members in setting and defining goals for the region and is the main force behind Caron's annual New York Gala that raises scholarship support for the New York region.

James McManus - Regional Vice President of Caron Philadelphia
Jim is responsible for the management of Caron's Philadelphia Office and the many groups and workshops that are held at the Plymouth Meeting site. Jim also works with Caron's Philadelphia Leadership Council and alumni volunteers to coordinate Caron's annual Philadelphia dinner, a fundraiser that provides funds for scholarship treatment for individuals from the Philadelphia region.
Jim holds a bachelor's degree from LaSalle University and an MBA from Drexel University.

Pam Smith - Development Associate
Pam is the associate campaign director for Caron's Berks County Capital Campaign. She works with volunteers and has assisted Joe Lauginiger, Executive Vice President/Chief Development Officer, in running Berks County leadership gatherings, the campaign's kickoff, and all volunteer meetings.
Pam holds a bachelor's degree from Kutztown University.

Karen DeLong - Advancement Research Administrator
Karen is an integral part of the fundraising efforts at Caron. She researches funding sources for Caron programs and provides administrative support to the Development Department. Karen also assists in Caron's annual Employee Campaign and Berks County Awards Dinner.
Karen holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Toledo.

Maggie Mosser - Executive Assistant, Development Department
Maggie provides administrative support to Joe Lauginiger, Executive Vice President/Chief Development Officer, and the Development Team. In addition, she processes and records all charitable gifts made to Caron.
Maggie is the contact for anyone looking to make sure his or her gift to Caron was received, if an individual would like to check the status of a current pledge, or if someone needs a receipt of his or her donation.
