Children's Educational Program

Caron’s Children’s Educational Program serves as a way to educate children about the consequences of drugs/alcohol abuse and addiction by using an approach most suitable for their age group. The program provides children with the coping tools they need to live with an addicted parent or sibling, thus improving their self-esteem, empowering them to make healthy choices and opening new lines of communication with family members.

The goal of the program is to provide an educational, fun experience that will help children learn and build the skills they need to:

The Children’s Educational Program is one day in length and occurs the second Saturday of each month on Caron’s main campus in Wernersville, PA. The program is designed for children 7-15 years old who have a parent or sibling currently in one of Caron’s inpatient or outpatient treatment programs. (Children 16 years and up are eligible to participate in one of Caron’s Family Education Programs.)
