Doug Tieman
President and CEO
Mr. Tieman has been the President and CEO of Caron Treatment Centers since 1995. Under Mr. Tieman's direction, Caron has taken leadership roles in treating addiction in young adults and adolescents, sponsoring research, and participating in national conferences on addiction and recovery. Caron has developed, and provides, gender-separate and gender-specific treatment in both its adolescent, young adult and adult programs, from primary through extended care. He also established regional treatment facilities in Boca Raton, FL and Dallas, TX; along with regional offices in Philadelphia, New York City, Boston, Washington, D.C. and Bermuda. Since Mr. Tieman joined Caron, its revenue has grown more than six-fold.

Kristine Bashore
EVP/Chief HR Officer
Ms. Bashore oversees recruiting, retention, compensation, training, and benefits programs for more than 880 Caron employees. She also plays a leading role in improving employee retention and developing training programs at Caron.
Since joining Caron in 2000, Ms. Bashore has overseen the expansion of staff from 265 to 880 employees. During her tenure, Caron’s retention rate dramatically improved by more than 15 percent. She continues to cultivate employee commitment to Caron. Most recently, she developed and facilitated an innovative training program to highlight corporate values, called “Spirit of Recovery.”
Michael S. Early
Chief Clinical Officer/ Executive Vice President
Mr. Early oversees Caron Treatment Centers' comprehensive drug and alcohol addiction services, and manages the development and implementation of Caron's treatment programs, including Caron’s cutting-edge age and gender specific programs. Mr. Early’s career spans more than 35 years in the field of chemical dependency treatment. He is currently on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers, and has had leadership roles in various state and national certification and training programs.

Joseph K. Lauginiger, CFRE
Executive Vice President/Chief Development Officer
Mr. Lauginiger has over 35 years of experience in the not-for-profit sector. He began his career with the Boy Scouts of America in 1973 where he spent fourteen years. In 1987, Mr. Lauginiger joined Caron Treatment Centers. Currently, he is the Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer at Caron where his responsibilities include development (fundraising) and alumni relations. A member of the President’s leadership team, Mr. Lauginiger is responsible for a development department that generates in excess of $8.5 million annually.
Andrew J. Rothermel
President Florida Market
Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer
Andrew J. Rothermel is president of the Florida market and EVP/Chief Operating Officer of Caron Treatment Centers. During his seven year tenure at Caron, the nonprofit addiction treatment network’s operating revenue, its operating excess and its net assets have each almost tripled – allowing Caron to contribute more than $16 million in charity care last year alone.

Mylene Krzanowski
Executive Vice President of Regional Advancement
As Executive Vice President of Regional Advancement, Ms. Krzanowski oversees Caron’s current regional offices – New York, Philadelphia, Washington, DC, Bermuda, and Boston and works to advance Caron’s strategies, which will help to continue growing patient referrals and fundraising revenue through the regional offices. She is also responsible for the development of new offices, with the next one being Atlanta scheduled for 2013. In addition, Ms. Krzanowski oversees Student Assistance services that Caron currently provides to 493 schools in 15 states and the District of Columbia.
Patrick J. McClafferty, MBA, CPA
Vice President of Administration
Mr. McClafferty is responsible for the overall operation and strategic direction of the Finance, IMS, and Facility functions within Caron by providing leadership and direction to the Corporate Directors in each of these departments. He also helps to plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization’s administration functions and performance, as well as directing and participating in special projects as requested.
