As we celebrate Caron's five decades of hope and healing, we stand in awe of our founders, Dick and Catherine Caron, whose compassionate and tireless efforts to help the suffering alcoholic, are the foundation upon which Caron is built. We are the keepers of their torch and a beacon of hope for the future.
In its first half-century, Caron has saved tens of thousands of lives, put families back together, and stopped the generational progression of the disease of addiction. We are proud of what we have accomplished, and eager to continue on the course we have set as the nation's leader in comprehensive addiction treatment. To fulfill this bold vision, we have launched the largest fundraising effort in Caron's history-the 50th Anniversary Campaign entitled Caron-A Special Place, A Special Time.
The campaign seeks to raise the $50 million we urgently need to respond to our nation's number one healthcare problem, drug and alcohol addiction. Our immediate and long-term needs include capital, annual scholarship and endowment funding. With your help, these efforts will ensure that Caron can continue to save lives, bring hope to those who have lost hope, and shape the future of addiction treatment in our country. All gifts made to Caron between July 1, 2006 through June 30, 2011 will count toward this Campaign.
